QB Golden Spikes Award 🥇

QB Golden Spikes Award 🥇

Let’s get into the 2026 golden spikes awards, Qb edition. Some analysts have, “my guys” , “flag plants”, “love hate”.We are going to pick 1 player from each position to get the preseason Golden Spikes award. We can have lists of breakouts and sleepers and so on. The Golden Spikes award goes to my must have player each year.Trevor Lawrence is that dude this year.
Actually he was really that dude last year too. The bionic Qb with the highest pedigree imaginable has finally started coming into his own. Initially not seen as a bust but some fearing he may never reach his full potential. The Qb whisperer Liam Coen has unlocked Lawrence in ways we never saw coming. He finished as Qb 4 in 2025 despite  being drafted outside the top 10. In the second half of the season he finished as Qb 1 averaging almost 27 ppg. Yes you read that right Qb 1 down the stretch. Give me more of that in 2026. He used his legs to punch in 9 rushing tds to boot. Its like everything clicked for him in the second half of the season. The Jags added Jakobi Myers at the trade deadline last year. They already had a strong receiving core lead by…well we don't even know who WR 1 in Jacksonville is? They are loaded though. Myers ability to get open however did make things much easier for Lawrence. Coen scheme is also so Qb friendly. He runs to set up the pass. Using heavy play action which Lawrence  excels at. He was consistently hitting players across the middle on drags. This may be his best throw, given his elite arm strength. His legs are just icing on the cake.
Enough gushing about 2025, what can we expect in 2026? Right now Lawrence is being drafted as Qb 10 off the board right after Caleb Williams, Jaxson Dart , and Justin Herbert. I think his ceiling is extremely high given what we have seen of late.I think he can live in that 24 ppg range which would put him well above where he's being drafted. Id take him almost as high as Qb 5 this year. This offense is going to hum with Sunshine at the helm. And I am here for it.

Drop a comment below and tell me who your Golden Spike Qb is this year.

Where explosion meets consistency🏆🏈

Where explosion meets consistency 🏆🏈  What makes a perfect fantasy football draft? Well there is no perfect draft. Not one person ever drafts the perfect team and runs away with his or her league. It’s almost statistically impossible and anyone that tells you differently is lying. It’s actually somewhat similar to picking lottery numbers. You are hoping that each player drafted “hits” during the season just like a lottery number.   How can we improve our odds of making more correct picks than incorrect picks? Well, there are tons of analytics and prognosticators that can point you in one direction or the other. A flood of information has been right at the fingertips of managers for years now. In the early 2000’s you may have had one waiver wire article a week. Whoever bothered to log into their dial up computer and hunt down the info normally made the right moves. Now everyone has hundreds of suggestions on tons of different platforms. In an era of information overload somet...
